Margaret Scott –  Associate

Margaret is a highly accomplished consultant and executive coach with a long track record of successful outcomes across a broad diversity of health, environment and human services issues at local, regional, state and national levels.

Experience

Margaret brings over 30 years’ experience in leading strategic programs and organisational development in the fields of mental health, homelessness, domestic and family violence, chronic disease, health promotion, access to justice, disability, sexual health and HIV/AIDS. She has a particular interest in supporting organisations in building leadership capacity, strategic capability and team effectiveness and designing frameworks and processes for evaluating impact.  Her work has been predominantly in the government and non-government sectors.

Margaret is an experienced non-executive company director and has worked with and advised many not for profit boards on governance issues, capacity building and strategic development. She has also worked with many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and organisations across a range of issues as well as Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and other marginalised groups.

Margaret has provided coaching and team development to individuals and groups in a range of settings, and across diverse organizational contexts, tailoring her approach to best suit the needs of clients.

Margaret works very effectively with complex and sensitive issues and contexts and has an excellent capacity for framing the right questions, listening deeply, providing clear and insightful analysis to crystallise issues.

As a strategic and systems thinker she is able to assist in co-designing solutions that are implementable and that will lead to outcomes for clients. With extensive formal education and commitment to lifelong learning Margaret is able to draw on a breadth of coaching and mentoring approaches, long experience and fresh contemporary thinking.

Qualifications and Accreditation

Margaret has a Masters of Education (Health Studies, University of Sydney) and is a Graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  She is a Non-executive director of the board of Relationships Australia, NSW and is accredited to use the HBDI (Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument).
